IET Publications, Web Sites Win Several National Awards

Several IET publications and Web sites recently won awards at a national competition among universities, besting the likes of technology powerhouses MIT and Indiana. UC Davis pulled in 5 first and second place plaques, the most any campus has won in a single year in the history of the competition. The competition was sponsored by the Special Interest Group for University & College Computing Services (SIGUCCS). The Association of Computing Machinery SIGUCCS Conference is an annual gathering of computing service units from campuses throughout the country.

First Place - Student Computing 101

Second Place - Faculty Technology Intro Brochure

Category: Student Created Promotional Materials
Second Place - Student Computing Guide Promotional Flyers
Category: Electronic How-To Guides
Second Place (tie) - Faculty Technology Guide Web Site

Second Place (tie) - Student Computing Guide Web Site

The IT Times and Bovine Online garnered first-place awards (for Computing Newsletter Electronic & Print and Software CD, respectively) at last year's competition, and representatives from each of their team of designers was asked this year to judge the entries in their respective categories. As such, they were not eligible for entry in this year's competition.
