IT, in collaboration with other departments on campus, is developing a campuswide program for focused technical support on information technology issues for "Distributed Support Representatives" (DSR's). Training sessions will be provided to coordinate technical strategic planning campuswide. A sub-program is in the implementation stages specifically for local area network administrators. The Network Administrator Resource Program (NAR) (-see the CWIS for details-) has initial goals of compiling a comprehensive list of campus network administrators and creating a catalog of IT services for them to access by the end of the summer. Technology Resources has developed a new service to assist departments, without technical staff, in the maintenance and operation of their local area networks.
