As of April, 2002, Information and Educational Technology began offering UNIX and Linux support services on a recharge basis. For $67 per hour, campus affiliates can benefit from:

• Operating system installation and configuration, including utilities such as NFS and NIS
• Operating system patches
• Operating system upgrades
• Backup configuration, including installation of vendor software products such as Amanda, Netbackup, Legato
• Software installation of vendor software as requested and freeware software, including compilers, GNU software, Acrobat, Apache, AFS, Samba
• Electronic mail configuration, including sendmail, POP/IMAP server software
• Security configuration and installation of security software, including ssh, HIDE, DistAuth, SSL web based encryption or other software as requested
• Other services as requested
