Communications Resources has scheduled a major upgrade to the campus telephone switch. The upgrades will take place in several phases over the next few months. Two software enhancements - one at the end of June and the other in December - will require brief service interruptions. The campus community will be notified ahead of time of these planned outages.

These improvements will align the campus telephone switch with future ATM technologies, which will enable the delivery of specialized features, such as Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) and Computer Telephony Integration (CTI), to departments with large call centers or advanced communication needs.
