SITT '97
Faculty Perspectives
The Teaching Resources Center's fourth annual Summer Institute in Technology in Teaching (SITT) was held on campus for a week in July 1997. Faculty convened for five days of lectures, discussions, and hands-on lab sessions that aimed to promote understanding and access to instructional technologies. The sessions were facilitated by faculty members, teaching assistants, and Teaching Resources Center and Information Technology staff.
The following are the perspectives of three faculty members who participated in SITT 1997 in various capacities: Inés Hernández-Ávila, chair of the Native American Studies Department; Dennis Dingemans, an associate professor in geography; and Barbara Sommer, a lecturer in psychology.
