British Women Romantic Poets Project

Here is the home page for an electronic text initiative by the General Library and the English Department. A large collection of texts are available online, covering the years 1789-1832 and featuring authors largely unknown today. (Booth #2)

Chemical Management Online

Environmental Health & Safety has recently initiated a Web-based system for tracking and managing departmental chemical use on campus. This site provides a video introduction to the program and an operations manual. (Booth #4)

Information Center for the Environment (ICE)

ICE is a multidisciplinary collaboration involving environmental scientists at UC Davis and over 30 private, state, federal, and international organizations. A large range of projects undertaken under ICE auspices make extensive use of geographic information systems (GIS) data. (Booth #5)

QBIC in the Art and Art History Department

QBIC (Query By Image Content) is an innovative technology for managing image databases that allows users to perform searches based on a number of characteristics including color, texture, and brushstrokes. (Booth #7)

Learning Chinese Online

Chinese is one of the most difficult languages for non-native speakers to learn, and this site offers some help. Links to audio resources provide invaluable help with pronunciation, and now you can view stroke-by-stroke animations showing how to write many of the main characters. (Booth #8)

The Arbor

The Arbor's mission is to assist faculty in the creative and intelligent use of instructional technology. This site features a list of technology topics with brief definitions and links to related resources, a calendar of events, glossary of terms, and descriptions of how the Arbor can help you use technology in teaching. (Booth #11)

Student Information Pages

The Office of Student Affairs' site offers a plethora of useful information for current and prospective students. Whether you want to know more about the campus environment, academic programs, athletics, or campus resources, this site is a good starting point for students who wish to explore or get better acquainted with UC Davis. (Booth #25)

Office of the Registrar

The Office of the Registrar is increasingly providing its services online. In addition to general information such as the General Catalog online version, this site includes pages designed for students and faculty/staff. (Booth #31)

Graduate Admissions Online

Prospective graduate students can now complete their application forms online. The data from the forms is processed directly into the Banner system, making this a major time-saving administrative application. (Booth #32)

Facilities Services

Facilities Services (formerly known as "Physical Plant") now has an online interface to streamline its customer service. Work requests, status of work orders, and billing procedures are all available here. (Booth #37)
